Brief
Tell Lenny your business, your offer and who you want to reach. Bring your website or a menu if you have one.
An A4 direct mail letter is a printed, personally addressed letter posted to a named person at a real UK address. You describe the campaign to Lenny, he writes and designs it to the printer's exact specification, you approve a proof, and it is printed, folded, enveloped and posted for you. One price per letter covers printing, the envelope and UK postage.
A folded A4 letter inside a windowed envelope, with the recipient's name and address showing through the window. It reads as a letter, not a flyer, which is why it gets opened.
Single or multi-page, simplex or duplex. Exact geometry is locked to the supplied Stannp A4 Letter Guide. Printed on 100gsm, addressed to a named person at a verified UK address, and posted through our print and post partner — never dropped door to door.
You describe the business and the offer. Lenny writes the copy, produces the artwork at the exact size the printer requires, and shows you both what it looks like and where every protected area sits.

Copy and layout produced at 216 × 303 mm, with the address area kept clear. Labelled a concept until a file is checked.
The file is measured against the printer's specification before it can be approved. Nothing is called print-ready until it passes.
You approve, or ask for changes in plain words. Nothing is printed or posted without a person approving it.
Bringing your own artwork? Upload it and it is measured against the same specification. If it does not fit, you get a plain list of what to change — or we repair it and send it back for your approval.
These come from our print partner's own published design guide, revision 2026-09-20. The same numbers drive Lenny's designs, our file checks and the order itself, so nothing can drift.
Letter content with the envelope window address area kept clear.
Exactly these, and nothing else. Anything marked fixed is set by the printer, not by us.
An accountancy practice writing to 400 local limited companies before the filing deadline.
A boiler servicing company writing to last year's customers with a dated service reminder.
A solicitor introducing a fixed-fee conveyancing service, where a postcard has nowhere near enough room.
A financial adviser sending statements or policy changes in a confidential envelope.
Two routes, both addressed mail.
Tell Lenny the area and the kind of household or business you want, and we build a targeted list of UK addresses for the mailing.
Address data integration not connected yet — audience counts are shown as unavailable rather than estimated.
Upload a spreadsheet of customers. Every row is checked for a usable street address and postcode, duplicates are collapsed, and anything unpostable is skipped with a plain reason rather than printed.

A test copy is produced from your approved artwork. Nothing is posted and no postage is spent at this stage.
A person at AutoLetters checks the order and the file against the specification before anything goes live.
Items are printed, finished, enveloped and handed to Royal Mail, with each item recorded against your order.
QR codes, codes and redemptions are recorded against the campaign as an attributed ratio — never presented as profit or ROI.
One price per letter covers printing, the envelope and UK postage, and it falls as your volume rises. The worked examples on this page are read live from our current price list, so what you see is what you pay.

No. You can upload your own list, or we can build an audience of UK households and businesses for you. Either way, every address is checked before anything is printed.
Always. A proof is produced first, and nothing is printed or posted until a person has approved it.
